Members of SWAT
(Students Working Against Tobacco) from Manatee
County, Florida, explain how candy-flavored
tobacco targets youth and why they feel these
products should not be sold in stores.
This video was shown at a Bradenton City Council
meeting on December 14, 2011, where students
spoke in support of a resolution against
candy-flavored tobacco products. The
council voted unanimously to pass the resolution
asking the state government to investigate the
issue of these products and whether they
inappropriately target young people.
