We created this PSA in collaboration with SOURCE Productions to raise awareness about Florida’s Good Samaritan law, which protects people who call in overdoses. In the face of rising heroin use and growing numbers of overdoses and deaths, Manatee County law enforcement and first responders want users and bystanders to know their priority is saving lives, not making arrests. Drug Free Manatee wrote and produced this spot, which aired on local television and in movie theaters. Actors from the SOURCE provided the talent, along with a Bradenton police officer and Manatee County EMS first responders, who provided invaluable insights into this world.
