In this PSA, Sarasota County law enforcement agencies show how you can help fight the opioid crisis in our community. They explain the importance of not sharing your prescription medications and of properly disposing unused drugs. Sharing your prescription medications is dangerous, illegal, and can contribute to drug abuse. Proper disposal of unused medications (either at community dropboxes or by using a chemical deactivation bag) not only keeps drugs out of the wrong hands, it protects our environment and water supply from contamination.
