Taking medication as part of their treatment helps keep users of opioids (including heroin and painkillers) safer. Opioid users are at a high risk for relapse, overdose, and death, but medication can help lower that risk. For many people, medication makes treatment safer and more effective. This PSA was created for the Maryland Department of Health and Maryland Public Television.
