TEDxSarasota is an independently organized TED event taking place on 12/12/12. This year’s theme is “Creativity Matters”. Prior to the December event, several smaller-scale Salons were held around specific themes related to creativity.
September’s Salon, “Intelligent Gaming Matters”, explored the evolving nature of games and their impact on society and culture. It featured speakers from the world of gaming and game design, including the founder of a social gaming startup, a biofeedback technology specialist, and a professor of game design & art from Ringling College of Art & Design. It also featured an interactive game design workshop for the audience led by Ringling students and a rocking performance by Random Encounter, a band playing video game-inspired music.
BRAD!BRYAN Multimedia produced introductory videos for the three speakers that were projected as they each took the stage for their talks. We also filmed the live event and created the videos which will be featured on TED.com and TEDxSarasota.com (and at the top of this page).
