Principal photography has wrapped on When the Party Ends, the exciting new short film by SOURCE Productions. Brad Bryan was involved throughout the pre-production and production stages, and will continue as an editing advisor during post.
Directed by KT Curran and written by Curran and Franki LaPace (who also stars), the 15-minute film deals with lives and relationships of several young, gay men in the changing world of HIV. Set primarily in a steamy gay club, the film was shot over the course of a week in downtown Sarasota. Ivory Lounge served as the main location, generously welcoming the shoot on two of their nights off.
Production stills, behind-the-scenes tidbits, and updates can be found on the film’s Facebook page.
Find on FacebookThe film’s production team is the same that created The Holding Cell, currently finding success on the festival circuit throughout North America. Alex Stafford served as director of photography, Brad Bryan art director and on-set sound recordist, and Lindsey Nickel de la O as assistant director. Joshua Beadle was location manager and headed Curran’s advising team, while Zara Barrie was costume director and starred. Curran received a grant from a local organization that contributed to the film’s microbudget.
